The Procomation of 1763

The Proclamation of 1763 was an imaginary border that stretched along the tops of the Apalacian Mountians, colonists were not allowed to settle across this "line". This was issued in 1763 to protect the Native Americans that were already settled in the west.

Great Britian sent 10,000 troops over to carry out the Proclomation and to make sure every one obeyed the new law. The colonists hated having the troops there because Britian made the colonies pay for them. This angered the colonists.

Great Britian became deep in debt because of the French and Indian War. To reslove this debt Britian issued a bunch of taxes on the colonists.
