The Tea Act-1773

All the taxes and acts enforced on the colonists were repealed the same day after the Boston Massacre, except the tax on Tea. The Tea Act said that East India Company could sell straight to the colonists and neglect the merchants. This made the merchants angry because they were skipped out on the profit, and colonists were mad because they didn't trust Britian.

The colonists boycotted british tea and made their own tea called Liberty Tea made from raspberry leaves. The Sons of Liberty caused the famous Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party was an event that caused the American Revolution, it happend on December 16th in the Boston Harbor. The Sons of Liberty borded three of britians ships that had Tea crates on it, The colonists that took part in the Boston Tea Party dsiguised themselves as Mohawk Inndians and dumped the tea into the Boston Harbor. There were 342 chests of tea dumped into the Boston Harbor.
