There are many causes of the American Revolution, The French and Indian War was one. The French and Indian War also known as The Seven Years War was fought between French and their allies and the Britsh Colonists. Great Britian sent troops over to help "protect" the colonists. The war put Britian in a huge debt and Great Britian decided to make the colonists pay for the troops. To get money from the colonists Britian decided to establish a few new taxes on the colonists to pay off their debt. The Colonists hated the new taxes and thought that it was unfair to make them pay for the war.
